Front End Web Developer

Position Overview

IOI Ventures, LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Front End developer (90% WordPress) to design and implement mobile-first, lead generation-focused, highly functional websites with a strong user experience and an eye for design. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration, hosting, APIs with 3rd party tooling, analytics analysis, and security updates.

Who You Are

To be a successful developer at IOI, you should have a good knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills with the ability to analyze metrics and then make Ui/UX improvements.

What You'll Do

Meet with AM leaders and clients (as needed) to discuss website design, function, performance & optimization across the client portfolio.

Design and build the website front-end using WordPress, most often in BeaverBuilder/Themer (but not always).

Create the website/project architecture for new projects complete with timelines, folder and asset management, and site mapping.

Design and manage the website back-end including database, plug-ins, API’s, and server integration.

Generate WordPress themes and plugins, modules and transferable templates.

Conduct website performance tests.

Troubleshoot:

Content issues
Tracking isses
Server issues
SEO issues

Conduct WordPress training with the client and JR Digital Staff.

Monitor the performance of the live websites.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, marketing or a similar field.
Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
Basic Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
Ability to manage projects.
Interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Analytics experience (Google Analytics)
SEO/SEM expertise is a plus
